Intermediate to
Progressive Intermediate: For those who have
completed Level 1 and want to further develop teaching
skills and personal practice to the next level. This course
deepens and furthers the learning from Level 1 and moves
into some of the more subtle and transformative techniques
and understandings from the science of yoga.
We recognise that learning may have occurred in a variety
of ways. We are also happy to discuss a placement on Level
2 if you have completed another Teacher Training course
from a different school or system of yoga.
You learn to practice and teach a
broader and more advanced level of asana, pranayama, bandha,
mudra, meditation, yoga nidra and shatkarmas, as well as
deeper studies in the following areas:
- Dhara Yogasana (flowing yoga)
- How to use and apply Ayurveda
within yoga
- Yoga Philosophy
- The four main branches of yoga
(Karma - activity, Bhakti - devotion, Raja - meditation,
Jnana - knowledge)
- Specific studies on the Yoga
Sutras of Patanjali, an ancient treatise on the spiritual
journey and the psychology of mind.
- Principles and application
of tantra and yoga (including prana, gunas, tattwas,

- Systematic application of deeper
meditation techniques.
We emphasise how to present
these practices and understandings for full effect and
at different levels according to the needs and capabilities
of your students.

completed with an organisation like St Johns is an additional
requirement for this course (not included in course fee).
