A 2-day intensive workshop covering the specific yogic practices for conception, pregnancy, birthing and post-natal.
This is for those who have completed Teacher Training Level 1 and/or 2; midwives, natal educators, etc.

Learn how to teach yoga for birthing from before conception to after delivery.

Course duration: 1 x weekend
A 2-day intensive course packed with what you need to know for teaching yoga postures, breathing, relaxation and meditation for pregnancy, including a specifically designed yoga nidra (relaxation) technique. This course enables you to teach Antenatal yoga in group or private classes whilst being able to attend to the personal needs of the students. You will be able to make recommendations for birthing techniques and recovery and teach post-natal in group or private sessions.

This course covers seven stages of the birthing process as follows:

  • Preparation for Conception
  • Yogic Conception
  • First 3 months of pregnancy
  • Last 6 months of Pregnancy
  • The Birth
  • First week post natal
  • Nine months post natal

Within all these stages are the techniques and knowledge which we have found to be most beneficial for mother and child, including:

  • postures
  • breathing
  • meditation
  • yoga nidra
  • extra yogic guidance for difficulties
  • changes in the psyche - this includes the esoteric level

You also learn to adjust your teaching to the differing requirements throughout the natal experience. Also how to teach mothers for a shorter and calmer labour plus reduced pain during delivery.
