Introduction to Yoga Teacher Training

We invite you to experience a taster of our 200hr Yoga Teacher Training Course at a 3hr, informative and FREE introductory session.
Sample a classical yoga class at our new studio space and get feel of what traditional yoga is all about. Meet our experienced tutors Devananda and Sankalpananda, past graduates plus fellow participants journeying with you on this adventure. Bring any queries you have for the discussion after class to gain an insight into both part-time and intensive 200hr Teacher Training courses.
This session is for people already committed to the course and for those who'd like a bit more info. If you've been thinking about doing your yoga teacher training for sometime and wondering whether to take the plunge, or if you've had your heart set on it and registered then this Intro is for you! Teacher Training not only gives you the skills to teach yoga, it is also a sound investment for your own growth, deepening of personal practice and understanding of yoga. So which ever camp you are in, this is a great place to start! We offer a very supportive and nurturing environment with plenty of time for Q & A to give you more clarity and a good feel of what the journey with Ashram Yoga is all about.

Devananda (aka Dee)
Dee is a senior teacher at Ashram Yoga, passionate about Yoga and energy work. She teaches popular weekly classes, co-facilitates our yoga teacher training courses, runs workshops and leads kirtan as a source of constant inspiration and to share her love of Yoga. In 2006 she developed PLAY (Physically, Learning, Active, Yoga) classes to instill the FUNdamental skills of yoga at an early age, in an adventurous and creative way. Ashram Yoga now offers this as a teacher training module. Dee is a qualified Shiatsu & Thai Yoga Massage practitioner, Yoga therapist and Yoga Alliance 500-hour registered teacher who enjoys exploring the many avenues one can work with their energy to create positive life change.
Sankalpananda (aka Wendy)
Sankalpa has over 25 years experience in health, fitness, wellness and mindfullness training. She loves anatomy, teaches it on our yoga teacher training courses, and is well known for inspiring her students to love anatomy too. She is a qualified personal trainer, Pilates and Ashram Yoga trained 500-hour yoga teacher and brings a whole new level of information and quality to her classes.
